The Wedding Feast of the Servant King

"Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready.” It was given to her to clothe herself in fine linen, bright and clean; for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. Then he said to me, “Write, ‘Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.’ ” And he said to me, “These are true words of God.” Then I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, “Do not do that; I am a fellow servant of yours and your brethren who hold the testimony of Jesus; worship God. For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” ~ Revelation 19: 7-10

The greatest celebration in all of history is not a coronation of an earthly king, but a wedding. The bride has been prepared, made ready by the gracious work of her Groom. The Lamb who was slain now stands at the center of the feast, not as a distant ruler, but as the joyful Husband. His glory is not the cold brilliance of a conqueror, but the warm radiance of a servant who gave everything for His beloved. The fine linen the bride wears is not her own accomplishment, but the righteous deeds He purchased for her through His own blood. This is the heart of Christ on full display: He humbled Himself to the point of death so that He could present His people spotless and rejoicing. The servants of the Lamb do not stand at a distance in fear; they are invited to the table as guests of honor. Their response is not anxious striving, but humble worship, for they know the Groom did what they never could. The servant heart of Jesus is the very foundation of His glory—He reigns because He first served. The wedding feast itself stands as the eternal proof that His love never fails and His work is complete.
